Definitely smaller but the Detolf had wood top and bottom that they measured from, so I would think most helmets would fit as the frame is metal and the glass should be close to that width.

I'm surprised. I thought that Detolfs were pretty much "de rigor" for collectors. Not a line I thought they'd be discontinuing

Based on the way they are labeled on the website, it sounds like they are going away.

Yes sorry the Detolfs replacement.
They are easier to build and a bit more solid to be fair.
My wife has filled them with Harry Potter Lego, but i've done a quick fit test and the helmet looks ok.
When i get a chance i'll try to get a photo but things are a bit busy currently

The fit is tighter that the Detolts, not much space to move the helmets, plus there's the metal frame to consider and the colour is just black.
However they are solid, easier to put together and look really nice.

Having looked at one in person at the showroom, it’s an improvement imo. There are three I’d consider, blaliden, baggebo which is a steal of a price but needs someone to test as it’s a tiny bit smaller than blaliden, and rudsta. I prefer to have legs like on the last two but technically you’re losing a shelf. But I don’t like the look of helmets on the floor anyways. The frames these have make them way less stressful compared to the Detolf but some might not like the frame aesthetic. I prefer the trade off. Probably the best solution if I wasn’t sold on the kallax shelves would be to add feet to a blaliden.

That looks nice, and it looks like there'd be room for my stands. I have paper towel holders that I've repainted and greeblied up and after putting all the work into them I don't wanna lose them.
Lets see your work! I'm always curious to see how others display their helmets.

Those are BSG original and NBSG (Raptor), the Bee is one of the electronic transforming helmets, one of my favorites. I have a video of it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.
