Hey

I made a build thread a while back when I made Doc’s future binoculars for my own collection.
And many asked if I’d do a run, and since there was some interest then, I thought that I would check to see if there is interest now.

I haven’t decided if it will be a kit or a finished prop/replica, or maybe I could do both?

But the plan is to have a very straight forward kit, that is easy to put together and have individual parts so it easier to get the paining done, and it will be very accurate.

Here’s some pictures of the parts, there’s some parts not in the picture as screws and an aluminum plate, and I will rework one detail.
But this is pretty much what it will look like.
The colored parts at the top will be laser cut in acrylic.

Thanks for watching!

I have to test out the molds and see how much workload it is to make each set.
But an estimate would be approximately $190 plus s&h for a kit, and $320 plus s&h for a finished. See further down for updated price after test.

Here is a test I made, putting the first one together. Bare in mind that this is a TEST and not the final prop.
I didn’t have the right thickness for the aluminum plate, so I had to use what I had in the shop, I will get the right aluminum within a few days.
I will also work out how to do the black front plate.

This thread will now turn into a run.

*******************Payment instructions***********

If you are on the list, here is some information.
The KIT will come with all the components for you to build your own “Docs Binoculars”. The castings are very clean, but there might be a micro surface bubble.
All that has to be done to the kit is cleaning up the edges, some paint and then putting it together.
It’s a fun build. $235 (includes world wide shipping)

The FINISHED version, comes as perfect as I can make it ready for you to display.
Also comes with an included transparent plexiglas stand (picture of render below).
$395. (Includes world wide shipping)

The STAND, can be purchased for $20, if you want one for your Kit.

************************************************************

Here is a quick render of the stand, it will look something like this.

So, if you are on the list, please PM me with what you want, Kit or Finished.
And if you want the kit, also let me know if you want it with the stand.
(The stand is only included in the finished)

I will answer that PM with payment instructions. And the binoculars will be shipped shortly after payment has been done. :)

Wow, awesome response!
I’ll have the molds made this week, and the first set done at the end of the week.
I have to see how much workload it is to make each set, but it might be in the range of $190 for a kit, and $290 for a finished. Plus s&h. But will know more during this week.
