Defined Green Lantern Comic Rings

I like the previous iteration a great deal, what with its very curvy, organic shape. However, the source material seems to depict a flatter band.

So, this new version has a flatter band (particularly noticeable at the bottom of the shank), and the symbol bezel is more integrated into the edges of the finger-hole.

I may have to get both versions printed to see which looks better.

I'm a-cookin' again! Finally got my Yellow and Indigo stainless steel rings back from the jeweler last week. Mixed up some resin and glow dust to do the inlays this afternoon. By tomorrow, and if my ratios were sound, these should be ready to wear.

Oh yes! They had no trouble after all. I'm still going to print the last five with the shank reinforcement when the time comes.

And now for the big reveal! I'm very pleased with how these turned out. The Yellow isn't as golden as I wanted, and it still needs a little more curing time, but I'm overjoyed with the Indigo, especially the way it glows. I wish pictures could do the glow justice but it really needs to be seen in person. Plus my apartment has piss-poor lighting so I can't get many good shots.

Been a while since I had an update. Here's the latest ring back from polishing at the jeweler. This is the first ring I've gotten printed with the reinforced shank and after polishing it's clear to see this shank is slightly wider than the others. It's no big deal though. Can't wait to get some glow resin in there~

Thanks! I just laid down the resin and glow powder. This one's gonna have a really bright day-glow orange color, and hopefully a rich glow effect too.

Orange Lantern Power Ring is finally done! The inlay turned out great, but I got a high spot in one of the upper left sections. May need to re-do that myself. The glow effect is great though. I just took it out for a walk to my mailbox and when I got back inside it was still nice and bright.

By the way, I recently gave one of my older REBIRTH test prints to a coworker, to then give to her 15-year-old daughter, who's an adorable nerd.

I'm told it went over very well with her.

You better believe it! XD I managed to fix the high spot. Pried out some of the resin, exposed the layer underneath and touched it up with a little UV resin as a quick fix.

I figured I'd throw her a bone. Or ring, to be precise. Her mom said that she reminded her to thank me ten times. I guess it was a hit!
