Got me a canister full of that stuff, but will probably have the lamp bead blasted anywaytheres a really great non-toxic rust remover mentioned in this video:
I restore lots of tools and items without bead-blasting them. Right now, I have some Xcelite mini clamps and a robo-grip pliers sitting in 3-in-1 oil because they had some light surface rust.
Don’t touch these. Actually, don’t even look at them.
I'll do you one better and model one up in the next couple days if you like. Surprisingly, the chamfer isn't at 45 degrees, it's steeper. The lens is 11.35mm x 11.25mm at the base, 10.3mm x 10.5mm at the top (or very close to it, difficult to measure with a caliper), and 1.5mm high. The box itself is 12.6mm x 12.4mm, 11mm high.
Had these in storage for a while now. Today I finally managed to get them out and decide which one to disassemble
Awesome pickup Markus thanks for grabbing an extra one for me
Beautiful! If I had the space for it, I probably wouldn’t have sent you that link. I don’t regret it though, I love seeing the pictures.
Small update…
The vintage USAF airfield lamp is now officially restored and back to working order

In addition to that I received some more stuff for my arsenal...a MGC M16A1 and a MGC XM177E2 plus another C96 any a Sony TC67. The MGC rifles were both used as the bases for the ROTJ rebel blaster rifles (Endor). Already have these in my collection, but wanted to upgrade
