Hey all,

I could use some advice.

I just put the white down on my clone trooper helmet. I used spray paint followed by a enamel clear coat. Does this mean I can't use acrylic paint for the wash and details? Can you mix the two or am I stuck with enamel?

Thanks,
John

No worries, you can still use acrylic paint for the wash and details! Just make sure the enamel clear coat is fully dry and cured before you apply the acrylic paint. You might want to test it on a small area first to make sure it sticks well, but mixing the two should be fine.

To say today was fun would be an understatement. Got to meet the stars of the Clone Wars and have them sign the helmet that I built. James and Ashley both complimented my work and couldn’t believe it was my first time doing it. James offered to have his picture taken with it. All in all it was signed by Ashoka, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and the real life Boba Fett himself.
