i gotta say, fiberglass mat is stronger than rondo but is messy as you need to trim excess mat inside. still i would prefer mat this time around. :) planning to cut it tomorrow morning so i could measure necessary mods.

Hey Quovadis!

Brilliant work. Are you going to do some more painting to the helmet? Would love to see it finished. Also how did you fibreglass the inside of the chest? Did you split it in half then re attach it?

But have to say this is fantastic work and cannot wait to see the finish.

i will be painting all the parts altogether,,once all of them is done,so i wouldn't have problems with the paint mismatching shades and all that. The back and chest was pepped separately, but I joined them together so the mat and resin will be easier, and so i don't have to attach struts to both of them. I will be separating them once bondoing is done,so i could do necessary mods.

glad you liked it! :)

Your suit looks great.I just wanted to offer you some advice regarding fiberglass, pre measure the pieces cut them and then resin the inside and put them in place otherwise you will find your gloves full of fiberglass strands and unable to work on small spots.I hope i helped you a bit.
PS: fiberglass is also cheaper than bondo because if you do not buy it already packed and just go to a place where they fix boats , the price depends on the weight . Advice for everyone: do not buy pre-packed fiberglass go to a place that they fix boats and ask for it it's WAYYYYYYYYYY CHEAPER!!!!!!!!

see u in PCC. bring ur helms. DR wants to see. :)

Okay mam izabel. Ready your costumes. I wanna take a picture with em all. :) Just kidding. Now i'm kinda nervous to meet you guys in person :confused I'll try to throw some quick paint on the war machine helm for the pcc. :)

Yeah you visiting US here would be great! :) You get to ask mam iza and DR their foam crafting techs and learn from them better. Maybe you should book a flight some time :)

anyway, here's some minor updates. IDK if the shoulder is proportionate enough, and i'm thinking of pepping a bigger chest and back. Anyway what do you think guys?

chest and back look ok to me they seem to fit you well, is there room in between them to fit the ab section? maybe just pep a smaller shoulder,

i scrapped the parts..hehe. planning to re-do the chest and back again since i've noticed some parts didn't match the movie/toy armor. Hopefully I'll get back on track soon :confused

that looks too awesome!

Good Stuff!!!

Thanks sir! Glad you liked it. :)

anyway i'm just updating this thread, not a major update, just threw a quick paint job on the helmet for the convention i'm going to this Saturday. I heard Izabel and DR are going there as well,so right now I'm pretty much excited to see them in person! :lol Anyway I just used spray can paint, don't have an air compressor atm,but i think it worked out well. Lemme know what you guys think. Oh and i've completed the minigun barrel, just forgot to take pics of it yet.

great job... by the way.. this is way more difficult than using foam. love the helmet. Where did you get the idea for face plate lift?

Great job on the Helm, I hope mine turns out half as nice. Sorry to hear you scrapped the chest. I sure that was a hard decision.
