Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

We just must have a scene of Pike teaching young Jim Kirk about the fine art of cooking. Otherwise, we'll never be able to logically get to this scene:

I was actually surprised that the episode didn’t end in Pike’s quarters cooking Uhura some southern comfort food after her ordeal.

I’m not being snarky, I actually expected it.

This scene. This whole stupid, stupid scene. Everything in this scene is blind speculation and not a shred of empirical evidence. Uhura and Jim go from "We both heard the same sound" to "I'm a receiver and it's burning out" to Sam saying "There's a theory..."

Oh wow! Living deuterium space aliens! We gotta blow up the space station!!!

All based on something they pulled from their ass.

So. damn. stupid.

I keep expecting this logo to appear on the corner of the screen, when I watch SNW….

…or, this logo, whenever everyone’s pal, Christopher “Pass the Bisquick” Pike is in his apron wielding a spatula in his cavernous “Aspen Ski Lodge” captain’s mess…

I was drinking coffee when I read this. I have caffeinated nostrils now!

Musical Episode!!! (I love musicals). I preemptively call all you naysayers sticks in the mud.

I couldn’t agree more!!

In my mind, I have already seen this and I love it!! Star Trek—but as a musical, with dancing and singing!!!!

Wait…wait a minute…

OK, I also fell off of a ladder today and hit my head on a planter.

The doctor said I may have suffered brain damage as a result. I can’t trust anything that I’m saying.
