Step aside all Iron Man armor makers! Watch this!

If it is a stunt suit, I guess it just goes to show that SOME things just look better with CGI help.

Not really, mostly a matter of looking better when worn by someone of the right height and build and when put on correctly. You can have the best made, most screen accurate costume/armor in the world but you put in on somebody that's too short/tall and thin/thick for it and put it on the wrong way it's going to look bad too.

Well Marvel is cheap some times and if you ask me a studio suit would promote the movie better then anything even a stunt suit would of been a better sales pitch but the average person really could care less look at all the crappy ruby's costumes they sell thousands of those vinyl peices of crap so there you have it, beaty is in the eye of the beholder.

In fact, a lady that was there with the kid, replied to my insults on facebook saying: "MY KID LOVED IT, so what was so bad about it?" Dark is right, we are a little more perfectionists eheheeh. Still, get a freaking 6.2 dude and just slap him inside that armor :wacko

Oh ya I totally get that. I more meant the color of the red rubber in contrast to the hard parts. Not to mention the body suit.

That's totally true, to the average person I'm sure that suit looked pretty cool, it certainly looked the part. I totally agree that they could've/should've gotten someone much taller to put into that suit, that and put in on properly. They probably got the costume from who knows where and just got some poor 16 year old schmuck who normally works at the theater selling tickets or popcorn to wear it for his shift.

Agreed there. Definite contrast in the red of the rubber parts compared to the hard parts and that body suit is just horrendous.

I was clicking through the pics and I was so disgusted that I almost closed the window... good thing I didn't because clearly the focus shifted from iron man to something else. :love

There's pictures of Iron Man on that link?

:lol :p ;)

the last photo on page 2 looks good. :love

Marvel sent a group of heroes, including Iron Man, to an event in Istanbul last week. I'm told my our sales rep that the suit looked to be slush cast and foam backed, with obvious seam lines. Marvel never had what I'd consider the best costumes for their character appearances.

ok... Ive seen Iron Man 2 about fifteen times no and that IS screen used, whats wrong with you people? It looks just like the action figure!...if it made love with a heat gun

oh well. we can't blame her. she probably hasn't seen this forum yet. lol. And we have to remember - to the NORMAL people - seeing something like that is enough. they don't care about details much except that they recognize it because of its features and be able to get their pictures taken with it. Sometimes they just have their pictures taken and don't even know who the charcters are. LOL.

I remember, my partner and I were walking in the mall and we heard some call us - (for him) Power Ranger, Transformer, Spiderman, Zaido. :lol (for me) Storm, X-men. I don't mind what they call me because Black Widow isn't really a mainstream character except for the comic addicts and teh geeks but Ironman? LOL.

That's true but even the uninitiated should be able to recognize that there's something just not quite right with that costume. I would hope that all of the adults (and some of the more observant kids) recognized how oddly proportioned the costume looked.

I can totally relate to that. I'm a big Stargate costumer and I can't tell you how many times people have thought my friends & I were G.I. Joe, Army people, SWAT and just about everything in between.

hahaha. but they loved us right? but they don't exactly know who were portraying but they love us, what we do and our work. haha. so i guess it's enough.haha.

Don't even start a topic about being mis-called.
When I used to go around in malls for events as Anakin or 300, they called me ANYTHING but my character...so...300 is the gladiator, anakin with the rob was a monk and stuff like that. Also, you hear all the time: look, star trek ahahahhaha.

But that was few years ago when I was in the SW universe. Then I just dropped it. Lost interest and now I kinda have a reject for it. :(
