RelicMaker Will these tarnish and verdigris? Should we spray some sort of sealant on them ? Is it too soon to be asking such questions as they are so new / this is the first run ?

Absolutely beautiful! Thank you again RelicMaker!

My headpiece just arrived. It's excellent. I spent yesterday evening and a few hours today weathering in and tinting the metal so that it looked more gold to my eye. The tarnish is mostly achieved by bluing the metal and then polishing off the black. I like the technique because it's sort of honest. I also used a few different colors of rub and buff (a tiny amount of each) and then very thin layers of transparent orange lacquer to tone the metal and add areas with different amounts of tarnishing/wear. Not that there was anything wrong with the piece as it was derived. I attached a few images taken in different light. The detail of the casting really looks great in person. I'll probably tinker with the finish a bit more, but I'm really pleased with how well this displays.

I think the book must have a typo. 11 cm seems too big for the widest diameter. Does any one else agree? Whisky

BTW, this is an excellent piece and a work of art! I’m pleased to have it in my collection. Since everyone is posting pics, here is mine.
