Figured I'd post this here, as this reference was just posted by eethan over on my thread in the junkyard. It appears to show the more rounded profile phillips head screws (painted black) on the mystery box, as opposed to the lower profile flat head screws that come on many of the green tab...

Greetings, RPF! I'm interested in replicating these vintage tire tread sandals. The soles are made from old tires, and the remaining bits are leather and brass. I haven't worked with leather much, but I'm fairly confident that I could learn enough to tackle these, if anyone here is interested...
