I shook the can after it was warmed in the water. I forgot to do that I think on the first go around. Then took some fine steelwool to knock down the shine.Yup looks much better. Did you do anything differently? Color looks good now.

Thank you! I'm really happy with how it's turning out!Oh ok interesting. I’m able to paint in my basement at room temp so I don’t warm up the can, but I shake it for a solid 3 minutes.
But yea looks great.
That emitter casting on the stunt far right is IDENTICAL to the v3, don’t ever sand that off!!View attachment 1809551View attachment 1809552View attachment 1809556I did the saaameee thing on my first one lol

Am i misremembering or did you have a plan to offer fx capable hilts? Will these v2/v3 be static? I’m sure you’re asked this a lot so sorry to be a broken record**UPDATE**
Hello everyone.
This is a general update going out to everyone this morning.
First up, apologies for my radio silence yet again, and for any delay in responding to messages or enquiries. I am working flat out to ensure that progress is made on existing orders.
This does mean that correspondence takes a bit of a hit unfortunately, but please rest assured that I WILL get caught up and respond to messages eventually.
I do just have to prioritise moving forward with the physical work for the time being.
Thank you so much to everyone who placed an order this month using the May4th discount!
I hope you all had a great May4th!
The store has now been de-stocked and orders are closed for the rest of this month.
This will allow me to concentrate on getting through existing orders in time for my family vacation at the end of this month.
The store will be re-stocked on the first of June.
EXISTING ORDERS:
I am currently working on the finishing touches to April’s Fully finished commissions. All other orders from April (including full hilt DIY kits) shipped out at the beginning of this month.
Work has begun on May’s orders too, with very small orders, such as Tri-Rings, etc, having been sent out already. Preparations are underway to get May’s DIY kits out as soon as these last few fully finished commissions from April are sent out early next week.
As I mentioned in my previous update, I go away at the end of this month, so I am aiming to get ALL existing orders out to people before then.
I only listed a very small number of commissions this month in order to achieve this, all of which have now been claimed.
I just wanted to share with you my targets for the next week or so:
- April’s Fully Finished Commissions – Shipping Tuesday 14th
- May’s DIY Kits – Shipping Friday – 17th
- Mays Fully Finished Commissions – Shipping Monday 20th
The above dates are very much achievable, as each batch consists of just a handful of hilts and work is already underway across each of them.
I am working to a much more detailed plan of action for the remainder of this month of course, with each day allocated to smaller tasks which will enable me to achieve the above major deadlines.
Painting is done on Aprils commissions, and it’s really just a case of final assembly and the application of finishing touches.
I have also been working simultaneously on prepping the parts for May’s kits and commissions.
I will need to drop off the radar once more however and apologise in advance for any lack of communication over the next week or so.
I have taken down all stock from the site for now whilst I work through existing orders.
I will be getting beauty shots of finished hilts as they’re completed and will post some of these when time allows.
I’d just like to say a huge thank you again to everyone for your patience and support. As always, it’s an honour and a pleasure to work on these for you!
FUTURE STOCK:
This next part is quite important…
My stock of Yuma / I.S.Y.H.C.A.N.L / V1 heroes is beginning to run low. It is absolutely my intension to order more, and to continue offering these in the future.
** The stock that I list in June will be the last of these for a while however. **
This will allow me to concentrate on the launch of my latest V2 and V3 on August 1st.
Both of these are extremely labour intensive, and the initial launch will certainly require my full attention.
With this in mind, I’ll be listing the last of my available Yuma / I.S.Y.H.C.A.N.L / V1 Hero stock on June 1st, which I’ll be working on throughout June and July.
Both my V2 and V3 will then be made available on August 1st.
Once the initial rush for V2 / V3 is over and things have begun to settle down, I do intend to order more parts for Yuma / I.S.Y.H.C.V.A.N.L / V1 Heroes, and will hopefully have everything in stock simultaneously (probably towards the end of the year). I will then alternate between the various versions going forward, or possibly stock a couple of each version every month. From a practical point of view, alternating is preferable.
My latest V2 / V3 models and drawings are very nearly ready for quotations **I will not have a price until I’ve received these**. I’m really excited to be revisiting these once again and look forward to sharing more details and renders in the coming weeks!
For now though, I’ll get back to it!
Wishing you all a great weekend and I’ll keep you posted as things progress! By this time next week, I should be working on the finishing touches to May’s fully finished commissions.
All the best and as always, MTFBWY!
Dave
